How TrustProtect works

Secure your transactions between individuals in 3 simple steps. Funds held, delivery, approval.

3 steps to a secure transaction

Simple, fast, and 100% secure

  1. 01

    Secure payment

The buyer pays by card via Stripe. Funds are immediately held on our platform — neither buyer nor seller can touch them.

  2. 02

    Delivery or in-person handoff

The seller ships the item with a tracking number, or hands it to you in person. You follow every step in real time from your dashboard.

  3. 03

    Approval and fund release

You confirm you've received the item and it matches the description. The seller is paid automatically and immediately.

Buyer guide

Step by step: buyer side

Step 1

Create your transaction

Set the amount, item description, and choose the delivery method (shipping or in-person). Protection fees are calculated automatically and shown clearly.

Step 2

Invite the seller

Share the secure link with the seller (by email, text or message). The seller must accept the invitation for the transaction to begin.

Step 3

Pay securely

Once the seller accepts, you pay by card via Stripe. Funds are held on our platform — no one can touch them.

Step 4

Receive your item

The seller ships the item or hands it to you in person. You get tracking info and can follow progress in real time.

Step 5

Approve receipt

Check that the item matches the description and works properly. If everything is fine, approve receipt. The seller is paid instantly.

Seller guide

Step by step: seller side

Step 1

Receive the invitation

The buyer sends you a secure link. Click it to see the transaction details: amount, description, delivery method.

Step 2

Accept the transaction

If you agree with the terms, accept the transaction. The buyer will be notified and can proceed to payment.

Step 3

Wait for payment

The buyer pays by card. Funds are held on our platform — you're guaranteed to be paid once approved.

Step 4

Ship or hand off the item

Ship the item with a tracking number, or hand it over in person. Enter delivery information in your dashboard.

Step 5

Receive your payment

Once the buyer approves receipt, you're paid automatically to your bank account. No action required from you.

In-person handoff

How in-person handoff works

Ideal for bulky items or local transactions

Before the meeting

  • Buyer pays online, funds are held
  • You agree on a place and time
  • Seller brings the item, buyer comes to inspect

During the meeting

  • Buyer inspects the item (condition, functionality, etc.)
  • If everything checks out, buyer approves on their phone
  • Seller is paid immediately, buyer leaves with the item

Maximum protection

Even with in-person handoff, funds remain held until approval. If the item doesn't match, the buyer can refuse and be refunded immediately.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about how TrustProtect works.

How long does a transaction take?

From a few hours (in-person) to a few days (shipping). As soon as the buyer approves, the seller is paid within minutes.

Do both buyer and seller need an account?

Yes. Signing up is free and takes 2 minutes. Both parties can track progress in real time from their dashboard.

What if the buyer doesn't approve receipt?

If the buyer doesn't approve within the allowed time and hasn't opened a dispute, payment is automatically released to the seller. The buyer is notified before this deadline.

How does dispute management work?

The buyer opens a dispute before approving. Our team reviews evidence from both sides and arbitrates fairly. No payment is released while a dispute is ongoing.

Can I track my transaction in real time?

Yes. Both buyer and seller have a dedicated dashboard showing transaction status, important notifications and a history of every step.
